Lisa Shapiro is Professor of Philosophy at Simon Fraser University. She is the editor and translator of The Correspondence of Princess Elisabeth of Bohemia and René Descartes (University of Chicago Press, 2007) and the editor with Martin Pickavé of Emotion and Cognitive Life in Medieval and EarlyModern Philosophy (Oxford University Press, 2012).
