Michal Peled Ginsburg is Professor of French and Comparative Literature at Northwestern University. A specialist in the nineteenth-century European novel, she is the author of Flaubert Writing: A Study in Narrative Strategies and Economies of Change: Form and Transformation in the Nineteenth-CenturyNovel (both published by Stanford UP), as well as a book on the Israeli novelist David Shahar and numerous essays on nineteenth-century British and French authors.
