Practising Social Work

Practising Social Workis an important contribution to the current debate on social work technique and method. It provides a systematic exploration of a range of social work approaches, with each chapter focusing on a single theme and explaining the practice implications of particular methods. It takes in a range of client groups, from young offenders to elderly people, and covers many aspects of social work, including anti-racist work, a feminist approach, as well as crisis intervention, alternatives to custody and family therapy.
