When Rosemary Rita finds a postcard from Australia circa 1930, it tells of Phar Lap, a famous Australian racehorse that won many prizes, including the Melbourne Cup. When Rosemary Rita flips the hourglass, she lands in Australia and gets to know the younger sister of the postcard's author while they take care of Phar Lap. Soon the girls discover that someone is planning to poison the horse.
