<b>Ruth Haley Barton</b> is a spiritual director, retreat leader, and trainer in spiritual formation. Formerly the associate director of spiritual formation at Willow Creek Community Church in Illinois, Ruth is a graduate of Wheaton College and was trained as a spiritual director at the Shalem Institute for Spiritual Direction in Washington D.C. Ruth is an author, a speaker, a wife, and a mother of three daughters (ages 18, 16, and 11).
