He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering following a joint program with several universities in the USA at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. After conducting postdoctoral research in the group of Prof. Somenath Mitra at NJIT, USA, he became lecturer at the Department of Chemical and Environmental Sciences for environmental, instrumental, and pharmaceutical analysis.
