Cases and Materials on Criminal Law and Approaches to the Study of Law

Combines broad coverage of substantive criminal law, with emphasis, in various chapters, on such topics as historical development of the law, common law and statutory components of the modern law, and the relation of law to public policy and ethics. Presents material in a logical order; the student is prepared for more complex problems, such as felony-murder, by earlier treatment of component parts, such as the common underlying felonies. Offers a good teaching mix of old and new cases (with some secondary issues reduced to notes) and problems for class discussion.
