Meadowtop

MEADOWTOP-THE LEGACY is the story of the family that lives at Meadowtop Farm, a farm that sprawls over the highest hilltop in Pike County, in southwestern Indiana. The story is told through the eyes of one who came to Meadowtop as a bride. Life is interesting and unpredictable at Meadowtop-the daily adventure of life on a large farm including the gift of a large black snake brought home by Blackbarry, who never realized he was a cat, to adventures at the Roach Motel and the birth of two great grandsons on Easter Sunday hundreds of miles apart.

Delores Kinkade Hemmer was born in Bone Gap, Illinois, but she has lived most of her life in Southern Indiana. Delores has penned a column for more than fifteen years called Meadowtop Journal for the Huntingburg Press, and a Community News column for the Press and the Dubois County Herald. She and her husband (mate) Ralph, reside at Meadowtop Farm in his ancestral home built in 1883 by his great grandfather. They are the parents of four, grandparents of twelve (plus spouses) and great grandparents of six with two more pending.
