This book seeks to unify, through a certain form of dynamic spoken-word poetics, the raging, unresolved set of conflicts with my own culture. I was raised in the shadow of Disneyland, drove to Hollywood on the weekends and was surrounded by the smug, intolerant, upper-middle class materialism of North Orange County. And yet I was always a spiritual hippie, a kind of overly-intellectual slacker and a promiscuous church-hopping seeker tripping on mushrooms. This book seeks, through a "divine transcendence of logic" to take the reader to a place where the most vapid shallowness is super-collided and sub-atomically fused with the deepest depths of the cosmos. This work is simply an experiment within the framework of the all encompassing Tao, the search for evil in the heart of the good and good in the heart of evil. It seeks to display an ultimate liberation by "absolute non-resolution" of all conflicting moral impulses and debased self-absorption. In the end, it attempts to be a work of love in which the beloved is celebrated, mocked, worshipped, berated and held in awe.
