Sifting Through Ashes

The prevalence of suffering in this world is undeniable. The question people ask is 'œWhy?'� The question Christians ask is, 'œWhere is God?'� It is the begging question that threatens the faith of every believer. 'œSifting Through Ashes'� addresses the neglected Truth that God allows, and at times ordains, suffering. As we better understand the ways of God through the book of Job, we find that the ashes of our lives are not evidence of God's absence, but of His presence. God reveals that He is not obligated to explain Himself; just because we can't understand His ways, does not mean that He's out of touch, out of control, and doesn't have a plan. It is through trusting in Him that we are given forgiveness for the past, faith for the future, and His grace for the present moment.
