Allan I. Pack, M.B.Ch.B., Ph.D., is the Director of the Center for Sleep and Cirrcadian Neurobiology and the Chief of the Division of Sleep Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his doctorate degrees from the University of Glasgow in Scotland and has been-practicing in the United States for over thirty years. Dr. Pack, Professor of Medicine, is the recipient of the John Miclot endowed chair. He is a member of multiple medical societies including the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the World Federation of Sleep Research and Sleep, and the American Thoracic Society. The author of numerous scientific articles, Dr. Pack serves as a Deputy Editor for Sleep. Dr. Pack is a leading sleep medicine expert who has lectured all over the world. In addition, he has received the following awards: Nathaniel Kleitman Distinguished Service Award (1996, American Academy of Sleep Medicine), William C. Dement Academic Achievement Award (2001, American Academy of Sleep Medicine), and the Lifetime Achievement Award (2010, National Sleep Foundation).
