The Status of Practice with Mr. Oliver Puddles

The BAP-SE (Breathing and Petting in a Safe Environment) methodology helps reduce anxiety in children so they can make appropriate decisions. This is a story of practicing anxiety-reducing methods to generate a positive outcome, instead of giving up after the first few tries.

Dr. Shames has worked for over thirty years in the field of education and psychology. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Hofstra University; her Master's degrees with honors from Teachers College, Columbia University, and Queens College; and her Doctorate degree from Concordia University, Chicago. Dr. Shames has copyrighted her behavioral intervention program, BAP-SE (Breathing and Petting in a Safe Environment), to help individuals with anxiety.
