In this personal and revealing book, Anthony Poon takes us on a creative journey that begins with his re-envisioning of a seaside public space as a very young architect. Poon has designed hundreds of buildings across the United States and internationally, from eco-friendly homes to public schools, from intimate retail venues and restaurants to sports arenas, from university housing to retreats and places of worship.

Poon’s goal in each commission is to reward those who will enjoy and inhabit the structures he designs. In every building designed by Anthony Poon art is shelter and architecture is a social good.

Anthony Poon is an award-winning architect with top industry credentials spanning three decades. His Los Angeles-based Poon Design Inc. is a multi-disciplinary design studio serving national and international clients that has completed over 150 residential, commercial, religious, educational, and cultural projects. Having received over 50 national honors, the work of Poon Design has been featured in hundreds of print and online stories.

Mr. Poon is also an interior designer, graphic designer, painter, and musician. He received his Bachelor of Arts from University of California Berkeley, Magna Cum Laude, for architecture and music. He earned his Masters of Architecture from Harvard University.
