Studio Companion Series Design Basics

The Interior Design seriesincludes four books addressing all the skill sets or topics discussed when beginning the study of Design and Architecture. Developed for today's "new" student, each book is compact, highly portable and addresses each topic in a clear cut and graphic manner. Each book will give simple examples and instructions and help them master the skills they need for design projects. The series includes: Design Basics; Drafting Basics; 3D Design Basics, and Presentation Basics.Design Basicsintroduces students to the elements and principles of design creating a vocabulary to discuss all forms of interior design and architecture. With simple definitions and clear examples a student will learn how to appreciate every type of design; even when it might not be their own personal taste. Armed with this design vocabulary a student can begin to create their own spaces. Exploring the design process can be a challenge but the simple steps are outlined, with examples, making the navigation a bit easier.
