¡Tachán, tachán!

Sometimes at mealtimes, Arián isn’t hungry and his mom has to do all kinds of tricks to get him to open his mouth. She puts on shows with characters ranging from lions, monkeys, and dinosaurs to clowns and pirates. All with one goal: that Arián finishes his plate.

A la hora de comer, Arián a veces no tiene hambre y su mamá tiene que hacer todo tipo de piruetas para que abra la boca. En realidad tiene que montar todo un teatro con aventuras y personajes variopintos: desde leones a macacos, o dinosaurios, hasta payasos y piratas. Todo con un solo fin: que Arián se coma su plato.

Javier Sobrino is a professor of elementary education in northern Spain, the director of illustration workshops and book fairs, and a children’s author. Lucie Müllerová holds a degree in graphic arts from the Linz University of Art and Design in Austria. She is the illustrator of many children’s books and has won various awards for her work.
