DARYL R. MOEN is professor of journalism at the University of Missouri School of Journalism and former editor of three daily newspapers. For Bedford/St. Martin's Moen is coauthor of News Reporting and Writing (2005) and Beyond the Inverted Pyramid (1993).

DON RANLY is professor of journalism at the University of Missouri School of Journalism and director of the magazine sequence. For Bedford/St. Martins he is coauthor of News Reporting and Writing (2005) and Beyond the Inverted Pyramid (1993).
