J. Edward Chamberlin is Professor of Comparative Literature at the University of Toronto. Previously Poetry Editor of <i>Saturday Night Magazine</i>, he has worked extensively on native land claims in the United States, Canada, Africa and Australia nd has been Senior Research Associate with the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples.
