The Unknown Legend

Do you believe?That's the question explored by the second and third grade class at Mariposa Elementary.Kembe is an incurable dreamer who lives in an African village where people have stopped believing in their own legends. Ayana is his friend, but she doesn't believe the legends either.Together, they are thrust into the adventure of their lives.--------------------Mariposa Elementary School of Global Education was founded on the idea that kids are more capable than most of us realize. The school believes that kids learn best when they're completely involved in the process of learning.As an experiment in this type of learning, Mr. Dude, one of the kids' dads, decided to write a story with the entire class, illustrating each chapter. The story grew to 9 chapters and a poster, and this book is the result.Since the kids are all sad the story is complete and since they constantly bug him to make a movie out of it, Mr. Dude is calling the experiment a success. The entire class of budding authors requested that a portion of proceeds from the sale of this book be used to buy livestock for the poor in Africa.
