The book describes all aspects of access to the vascular system for hemodialysis, parenteral nutrition, chemotherapy, and resuscitation, emphasizing "how to do it". Pre-operation evaluation, operations, non-invasive procedures, complications and other aspects are detailed. This is a practical, yet comprehensive tex for all physicians taking care of patients who require vascular access. The audience inlcudes vascular surgeons, general surgeons, nephrologists, dialysis techs and nurses, radiologists and cardiologists. There is potential for some uptake from emergency medicine and critical care practitioners.
