The fact, theories and controversies about bovine viral diseases are presented in a format useful to those first exploring the subject and those desiring a review or update. Conclusions and generalizations are derived from both clinical observations and research. Dr. Kahrs has revised and updated the existing chapters and included new sections on bovine caliciviruses, bovine spongeform encephalopathy, bovine immunodeficiency virus, disinfectants and disinfection, viral transmissioin via germplasn and the effects of bovine viruses on international trade.
