Vows and Observances presents the heart of Mahatma Gandhi's teachings on the practices of daily living. Drawn from four works written for residents of his religious community, Satyagraha Ashram, it explores in detail "The Eleven Observances," which for many Western readers will call to mind the Judeo-Christian Ten Commandments.
