Working Poverty in Europe

Offering a comparative perspective, this book examines working poverty -- those in work who are still classified as "poor." It argues that the growth in numbers of working poor in Europe is due to the transition from a Keynesian Welfare State to a 'post-fordist' model of production.

NEIL FRASER is Honorary Fellow (formerly Senior Lecturer) in the School of Social and Political Science, University of Edinburgh, UK. His publications include Public Policy for the 21st Century (edited with John Hills).
 
RODOLFO GUTIÉRREZ is Professor of Sociology in the Department of Sociology, University of Oviedo, Spain. He was previously Director of the Research Unit at the Economic and Social Council of Spain. 
 
RAMÓN PEÑA-CASAS is Senior Researcher at the European Social Observatory(OSE), Belgium, where he is in charge of European topics related to labour, employment, poverty and social exclusion.
