Have you ever experienced a place of trial in life where you say to the Lord, "Wait a minute...This is so NOT what I dreamed?" You are in your trial so long that you feel bombarded by voices that say, "This is it! This is as good as it gets! You might as well give up!"While the Lord may not have allowed you to dream of the test, He may have allowed you a dream glimpse of life after the trial. There are times when the Lord dreams through us, and wants us to hold on to that which He has placed in our spirits! In those times, He may give us dreams to hold to, so that we will persevere through the hard trials that we have to face. He shows us snapshots of what's in store to encourage us through the hard times and keep us moving forward toward His purpose in our lives. Yet, there are times when people give up because the test just seems like it will never be finished. Some become weighed down by the reality of all they feel, and soon, they begin to believe this is their destiny rather than a stage of spiritual development. Some never reach their potential because they give up too close to the finish. As a result, they never experience the fulfillment of God's purpose / dream for their lives. We don't want to endure these hard things. We just want the trial to stop. That's why, I feel, "Many are called, but few are chosen." This writing came during a time of testing in my life. I knew God had called me. But it was through His painful process of transformation that I learned He had chosen me.This writing isn't about me...It's about how the Lord ministered to me through His Word. (It's true that "there is nothing new under the sun," and I'm sure that many have already arrived at this understanding. Perhaps the Lord will minister to you through this book.) Thankfully, the Lord chose to transform and renew me because He called me to use me. Since trials have a way of placing your attention and dependency back in focus, God used this time to speak to me. He turned my attention towards Joseph's Journey...
