Markus Pansegrau began his career as an industrial designer before his love of computer-generated art led him to become a VFX artist. After learning to create computer imagery in the 1980s with the help of a Commodore 64, Pansegrau later developed his hobby into a career, teaching game design at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. Under the online pseudonym Locusta, he is known for creating striking computer-generated art based on the Alien movies. He lives in Helsinki, Finland.

John R. Mullaney has had his work published in DK's Star Wars Incredible Cross-sections series as well as their Batman, Doctor Who & travel guide titles.
