The Complete Thematic Catalogue of the Stage Works of Victor Herbert

Music director and musicologist Adam Aceto is one of the foremost specialists on the authentic sound of early Broadway music and is today's leading expert on the stage music of Victor Herbert. He has rediscovered and restored nearly 100 Broadway musical works spanning from 1890 to 1950 and has conducted more early American musicals and operettas than any living conductor. Aceto has prepared or restored musical materials for The Library of Congress, The Tams-Witmark Music Library, The Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization, Ohio Light Opera and the Packard Foundation and his recordings--some 200 hours of music--can be found in libraries internationally, including the Library of Congress Music Division and the New York Public Library Theatre Collection. For more than fifteen years, he has been music director and archivist for Operetta Foundation in Los Angeles, for which he continues to conduct productions and make studio recordings. He is also the staff organist at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
