El gran viaje / The Great Journey

Atravesar el desierto, pasar meses en una prisión, llevar a cabo una peligrosa travesía marina, contemplar un mar de estrellas, vivir en un campo de refugiados, conocer grandes peligros y grandes personas... Todo esto es lo que Ibrahim, que cursa segundo de la ESO en un instituto de Móstoles, explicará a sus compañeros mientras trabajan en un proyecto con ayuda de María, una profesora que cree mucho en sus alumnos. A través de sus ojos viviremos ese viaje de más de cuatro mil kilómetros desde su hogar en Sudán hasta las afueras de Madrid, que él y su familia tuvieron que hacer huyendo de una de esas guerras injustas que asolan constantemente el mundo.

Crossing the desert, spending months in a prison, undertaking a dangerous sea crossing, contemplating a sea of stars, living in a refugee camp, meeting great dangers and great people? All this is what Ibrahim, who is in the second year of high school in Móstoles, will explain to his classmates while they work on a project with the help of María, a teacher who believes in her students. Through his eyes we will experience the journey of more than four thousand kilometers from his home in Sudan to the outskirts of Madrid, which he and his family had to make fleeing from one of those unjust wars that constantly ravage the world.

Víctor Panicello es licenciado en derecho y, desde hace más de quince años, compagina su carrera profesional en este campo con una dilatada trayectoria como autor de literatura juvenil, a lo largo de la cual ha obtenido algunos premios importantes, como el Ciudad de Badalona de Narrativa Juvenil 2003 o el Columna Jove 2012. Ha combinado con acierto el estilo más intimista de algunas de sus obras iniciales, su trabajo literario con colectivos de jóvenes con riesgo de exclusión social y sus incursiones en el mundo de la ficción.

Víctor Panicello has a degree in Law and, for more than fifteen years, has accompanied his professional career in this field with a long career as an author of young adult literature, and much of his work has won important prizes, such as the City of Badalona Youth Narrative 2003 award or the Columna Jove 2012 award. He has successfully combined the most intimate style of some of his early works, his literary work with groups of young people at risk of social exclusion and his incursions into the world of fiction.
