According to Aztec legend, a highly hallucinogenic variant of the sage plant, a cousin of Salvia Divinorum (Sage of the Gods), grows wild in the remote canyons of the New Mexico desert. Legend says the plant is so powerful when ingested that the user comes face to face with the living God. When Joshua Farley¿vision-seeker and cult hero¿ mysteriously vanishes while searching for this plant, his disciples gather in the desert to pray for his return. They are not the only people looking for him and the elusive ¿Jesus¿ plant. A Bronx hood on the lam from the mob hopes to use the plant to barter for his life. A voluptuous teenage sexpot claiming to be Farley¿s mistress hopes to unravel his disappearance. A budding journalist and religious skeptic hopes to expose what he believes is the fraudulent nature of the plant. His photographer/girlfriend, as emotionally lost as she is beautiful, confronts her own troubles in a nearby decaying Biblical theme park called ¿The Holy Land.¿
