This book, based off firsthand experiences, is about how YOU (the reader) can Make THE Difference in life. Everyone, no matter the power, prestige, or position, can make the difference in any situation. Ordinary people achieving remarkable things through seemingly mundane actions— most of which occur in preparation prior to the event in question. Drawing on firsthand accounts, and historical anecdotes, Col. Kutilek walks the reader through vivid and personal life events where he, and more importantly others, made the difference.

LtCol Matthew J. Kutilek, USMC (Ret.) is a 2001 graduate of The Citadel and combat wounded United States Marine Infantry and Special Operations Officer. He is married to Andrea and has four wonderful daughters. Matthew’ s ultimate identity is not found in past experiences, accomplishments, or failures, but in what the Lord and Holy Spirit will do through him and others in the years to come.
