Jeremy Adler is Professor of German at King's College London and specialises in interdisciplinary subjects such as literature and science, poetry and painting, literature and anthropology. Richard Fardon is Professor in West African Anthropology at the School of Oriental and African Studies, London, and has carried out extensive ethnographic research in Cameroon and Nigeria.
