Taking Chances

This book is a comedy about four black men, who don't know each other, but come together when one of them learns of the availability of a large sum of money. As they plot to steal it, each reveals his background to the others and they form a permanent bond. Stealing the money brings out the individuality of each of them. What each man does with his share reveals his character and childhood dreams. Black men stealing over a million dollars is a plot rarely used because it seems unrealistic. But this book exudes realism, especially the methods they use and the decisions they make about how to spend the money.
