The Future of Entrepreneurship in Latin America

This book examines the outlook for Latin American entrepreneurs in the new global environment. Using case studies from across the region, the book highlights liberalization measures nations are adopting to facilitate small and medium size enterprise (SME) creation and growth, and existing barriers that are threatening SME sector gains.

Esteban R. Brenes is the Steve J. Aronson Full Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship and was Dean of INCAL Business School, Costa Rica. He has been a veiling professor at the University of Michigan and has taught in executive programs at Duke University, USA. Jerry Haar is Associate Dean, Director of the Pino Entrepreneurship Center, and Professor in the College of Business Administration at Florida International University, USA. He has held visiting appointments at Wharton, Harvard, Oxford and Stanford. He was also a research associate at Columbia University and a Fulbright scholar in Brazil.
