Leaving Island Life

Leaving Island Life is a story of a girl from the Caribbean island of Anguilla whose passion is to travel and experience life in other countries. She craved the experience because it seemed more glamorous than the life she knew. The memoir covers her work and travel experiences as she leaves the island. While in America she learned the meaning of ignorance is bliss, and in England a cocker spaniel got her a job. As she travels she realizes that Anguillans enjoy life like tourists. Her story comes full circle when she realizes that the glamorous life she sought in travel isn't so glamorous after all.
