Saving Aimee/Saving Margo

"Saving Aimee/Saving Margo" is the story of Margo, who after giving up her child eighteen years ago, has decided to look for her again. Preparing for such an undertaking isn't easy, but Margo would've never thought the police would also be looking for Aimee. Not only that, but she would've never suspected that they'd think she had something to do with the girl's disappearance. If she was going to save her daughter, Margo would have to disclose the secret she had kept all these years and tell Aimee's biological father of her existence. In the end, will her desire to help save her daughter also save Margo?

Margo's story is set in the nineteen-nineties when the major center for human trafficking was Thailand, and little was known about it in the United States. While this is not only a book about human trafficking, it is author Barbara J. Desman's hope that the reader will learn from the experiences of Aimee and Margo, and perhaps be moved, as she was, to become involved in raising awareness.

Barbara J. Desman has always been a storyteller; just ask her family and friends. She is now enjoying committing her stories to the page. Her career in the airline industry afforded her the opportunity to explore and observe the culture, people, and sights of many domestic and international destinations.
