Caillou: I Love You

Written with input from child psychologists, the Hand-in-Hand series of books helps children navigate their way successfully through various key developmental experiences of childhood. Caillou, like all children, needs to feel loved by his mother. But as a four-year-old, Caillou also has to discover the world around him. Caillou imitates the love he feels from his mother by reciting to his precious teddy bear a loving little verse his mother says to him all the time. Caillou learns to reconcile his desire to at once remain attached to his mother with his desire for independence, and in doing so, he learns how to love.

Christine L'Heureux is the founder of Chouette Publishing and the cocreator of Caillou. She is the author of several books, including Caillou: Good Night, Caillou: No More Diapers, Caillou: Play with Me, and Caillou: Rosie's Pacifier. Pierre Brignaud is the illustrator of numerous Caillou stories, including Caillou: Happy Thanksgiving!, Caillou: I Will Always Love You, Caillou: I'm Not Hungry!, Caillou: Merry Christmas, and Caillou: Potty Time. They both live in Montreal, Quebec.
