He is the author of Countryman's Hudson River Journey (with Joanne Michaels). He lives in Gardiner, New York. Joanne Michaels is the author of six books, including Hudson River Journey (with Hardie Truesdale), The Hudson Valley and Catskill Mountains: An Explorer's Guide, and Let's Take the Kids: Great Places to Go with Children in New York's Hudson Valley. She is also the host and producer of "The Joanne Michaels Show," a regionally syndicated cable television program. The former editor-in-chief of Hudson Valley magazine, she lives in Woodstock, New York. Elizabeth Folwell is editor-at-large of Adirondack Magazine.
