Being a NICU father can be a daunting task. You have many new roles, often months before you were expecting. You tell yourself you have to support your partner and continue working full time -- all while trying to process how you will be able to support your fragile, new child. A father's NICU journey and mental health is important and deserves to have its own story. Enter this book, the NICU journey from the father's unique, often untold, point of view.

Rachel Bowman is a nurse and full time mother of two. She was inspired to give voice to children with chronic illness after her experiences with her own daughter's chronic illness. Rachel's goal is to reach out to all children with chronic illness, and their families, to let them know that they are not alone on their journey. During her free time, Rachel volunteers for On Angels' Wings, a non-profit that provides free photography and support for children with chronic and terminal illness and their families.
