Life Is Not Ideal

We all desire to live ideal lives. We have concepts of the ideal job, the ideal family, the ideal relationship etc. All of these collectively comprise our ideal lives. But what happens when your life doesn't live up to your ideals? What happens when your life does not co-operate with your dreams? Or when life deals you a hand you could never have imagined and that you wish you could give back? This book explores the haphazard nature of life and how often times life is unpredictable. Maybe it was an unexpected illness, job loss, or death in the family. Maybe it was an unfaithful spouse or a betrayal by a close friend or family member. Whatever the unforeseen event(s) that may have rocked your world, you may already have concluded that your life has not turned out the way you planned. This book charts the mental journey of the author and her struggle to deal with the less than ideal nature of life. Despite her greatest efforts, and her strict adherence to certain principles, she was never able to guarantee the outcomes in her life. By sharing some of her experiences and frustrations, she shows how she learnt to accept the less than ideal nature of life and find happiness therein. Even when her life did not turn out the way she planned.
