Henry Sugimoto

Biography. Art. The first-ever survey of the works of a gifted, complex, and engaging painter. Born in 1900 in the town of Wakayama in central Japan, and emigrated to the United States in 1919, Sugimoto's career spanned California, Paris, Mexico and two World War II concentration camps in Arkansas.
