The Summer When Grandma Changed

Let's look into the lens of children experiencing a loved one with Alzheimer's disease. The Summer When Grandma Change introduces the physical and mental aspects of the disease while discovering the challenges children face in order to learn to cope with their loved one who has the Alzheimer's. Joe and Rae who have spent countless summers with their Grandma Louise notice somethings are a bit different this particular summer and are on a wild ride. The more they learned about the progression of Alzheimer's the more they purposely find new and different ways to show love to their grandma. So, enjoy the ride!!!!

Rosalyn Morgan was born and raised in Washington, DC and is the author of Laughing to Keep from Crying, This Alzheimer's Thing is No Joke which delves into what she and her family went through as they took care of her mother who had the Alzheimer's disease. Her book was turned into a play, "Laughing InSpite Of" which has performed at several venues and received great reviews.
She is one of leaders of the Dementia Friendly America, Mid-County in Prince George's County, Maryland and is a facilitator for "Powerful Tools for Caregivers" class which teaches caregivers about self-care. Rosalyn is an advocate committed to bringing awareness about and finding a cure for the Alzheimer's disease and dementia. She continues to support caregivers navigate through the struggles they faced during the caregiving journey.
