The Town was Kickapoo Falls, which borders the mysterious and haunting Wisconsin Dells. The Butlers are found murdered in a wheat field. A presidential election is coming up, which Pennington naively believes has nothing to do with his investigation. But other forces at work. And on a scale he can¿t imagine.
