This book was written to inform, equip, revolutionize, and mobilize the Disciples of Jesus Christ. It will also bring to light the present status of discipleship in our churches today; offer real biblical solutions to restore our right relationship with Jesus Christ; and help to regain our effectiveness as Christian disciples in this present world. It is therefore imperative to know the correct structure and mission of the church in order for us to be prepared to make a difference in this corrupt and sinful world. I am not in any way introducing a new religion, new denomination, or another doctrine, but a comprehensive study of Christian discipleship. After his reading of this book, a young minister said that he realized he was raised in this generation to believe that the present system of operation in many churches today is considered to be normal. He now recognizes that the "Doctrine of the Nicolaitans" (Revelations 2) fully exists today in the church. This system along with the teachings of the "The Shepherding Movement", have significantly reduced if not crippled, the effectiveness of many Disciples of Christ. Many disciples have unconsciously surrendered their rights and authority to their pastors and religious leaders. They have been trained to become servants of their denominations and its' leaders and not followers of Jesus Christ. There is a saying that if you educate the people, you cannot control them and you cannot frighten them. People who know the truth know their own authority and rights, and they don't surrender it to others. Christian discipleship is not an option for believers in Christ, but a way of life. When we chose to believe in Jesus Christ and follow Him, we became His disciples, that is, Christian disciples. He became our Lord and we belong to Him. Christian discipleship is a key element that demonstrates one's love and devotion to God and all people, and help us to discipline our lives in ways that would help people, and to bring honor and glory to God.So, get out of your dark dungeon, open your hearts and minds, and let us prayerfully step through the pages of the bible together as we will begin to recognize who we really are, and also to get to "know our rights and authority as disciples of Jesus Christ."
