216: The Name I No Longer Claim is all about discovering your true identity in Christ, as you grow up. Whether it is through relationships, singleness, family, college, graduation, church, and so many other factors, it is hard to discover what you believe about Jesus, when few have taken time to welcome your questions in the process of your growth.

It is time to pull the curtains back on how following Jesus is not easy. It is time to stop sugarcoating our pain, and face every open wound one chapter at a time. It's time to dig deep into the questions and no longer accept a surface-level answer, because the church is afraid to be vocal on issues.

It is time to stop giving a mic to the enemy, and let Jesus's heart finally be heard!

Alexys grew up in a small town in Texas and was known by so many as the "perfect kid." But as she started to grow up, her pursuit of perfection started to cloud her heart for church; yet, she still loved Jesus. Nothing about this dynamic seemed to make sense, especially through her journey of questions and poems that were written in the process of silent responses.
The more she navigated through the world, the more questions arose. The more depression started to attack, and label her as something she never was, but became her new name.
As she began to gradually embrace her, her identity was struggling to find its' place back in the hands of Jesus.
