55 Trends Now Shaping the Future

Forecasting International (FI) has conducted an ongoing study of the forces changing our world for almost half a century. In this report, prepared for the U.S. government's think tank Proteus USA, the authors divide trends into: economic and social; values, concerns, lifestyles; energy; environment; technology; labor; management; and institutional trends. Each trend is described in a 2-4 page entry in layman's language without notes. The entry is capped by an assessment projecting duration for the trend.
