The Adolescent Psyche: Jungian and Winnicottian Perspectives

An increasing number of adolescents are being referred for psychotherapy and psychiatric treatment but there are a great many difficulties in reaching the adolescent client, and the number of successful outcomes is low. The Adolescent Psyche offers a psychological framework based on the work of Jung and Winnicott, demonstrating how adolescence is really a unique stage of development in the life cycle, rather than a mere recapitulation of childhood as is traditionally thought.
