This book helps fill a gap in the literature of thermoforming. Mold technology has developed dramatically in the past years and where flexible molds require less change over time, this book highlights both the existing and new standards in this technology. This book addresses the simulation of formed parts as well as applications of technical parts and packaging. The reader is guided through the path of development, design, machine and mold technology and production.

Sven Engelmann is the Director of Polymer Technology at Gerhard Schubert GmbH, where he leads the development of thermoforming technology. He is also a lecturer on thermoforming at the University of Stuttgart and the Aalen University of Applied Sciences in Germany.
