The Adventures of Sal and E

This is a colorful story about the special friendship between Sal and his animal friend, E, who go on adventures together. The reader can see by their joyful, engaging grins that going to new places isn't scary but a lot of fun. The bright multicolored illustrations bring each adventure to life encouraging families with children on the spectrum to try new places too. Each page has both a repetitive, simple sentence and a slightly longer sentence tied to the activity in the illustration. This book is perfect for beginning readers, children in speech therapy and children on the autism spectrum. Mary Black Diller started her career in the 1920s as the director of a girl's school art department. She was a prolific poetess, award winning painter and author of multiple children's how to draw books.

"Open your eyes! See the beauty around you."

Tiffany Harper Lorusso is a Long Island artist. She started at the ripe age of 6, drawing what she saw around her. She continued her education while perfecting her fine art skills, obtaining a degree in drawing and painting. She now utilizes this degree as an art educator. In conjunction with Splashes of Hope she creates murals to brighten facilities across the country. Her art is inspired by her love of animals and her beloved pets.
