All the Flowers

Close fraternal twins, a tomboy (Teri) and her sensitive brother (Tim), are trying to sort out their gender identities. Their father, concerned about Tim, has played them off against each other to show what he expects of them, so they both feel they have to prove something to him. Tim believes that he can prove his manhood by dropping out of college and enlisting in the army. Teri tries to stop him since she is afraid that he will be sent to Vietnam. She begins to find her own gender identity through her relationship with a boyfriend (Andre), but she struggles to maintain her spiritual identity when her faith is tested by events.

Tom Milton has worked as a journalist, an international banker, a venture capitalist, and an educator. He is the author of the novels No Way to Peace and The Admiral's Daughter. He lives in the Hudson Valley with his wife.
