Annual Review of Jazz Studies 14

The Annual Review of Jazz Studies provides a forum for the ever-expanding range and depth of jazz scholarship, from technical analyses to oral history to cultural interpretation. Addressed to specialists and fans alike, all volumes include feature articles, book reviews, and previously unpublished photographs.

Evan Spring, a freelance writer, hosts a jazz radio program on WKCR in New York City. George Bassett, studied music theory with James Randall, Milton Babbitt, and Claudio Spies at Princeton University. Edward Berger is associate director of the Institute of Jazz Studies. Henry Martin is professor of music at Rutgers University, Newark. Dan Morgenstern is director of the Institute of Jazz Studies.
