Anthology of Longing

Anthology of Longing is a compilation of mystical poetry, written over the course of two decades. The anthology contains 151 poems divided into three parts: Part One Book of Solace and Madness. Part Two Book of Silence and the Subconscious Awe. Part Three: Book of Sorrows and the Blood of Dreams. The poems draw on the ancient tradition of the Psalms and Eastern Christianity. They contain a longing in the spirit of modern man to reconnect with silence, prayer and transcendence.

Jonathan S. Jackson is a multi-dimensional artist: a poet, author, musician, actor, and filmmaker. His life in the arts began at the age of eleven and encompasses decades of work as an actor in both feature film and television drama—including five EMMY Awards, a musical career with hundreds of songs as well as international tours, his published poetry being translated into multiple languages, and an award for Distinction of Excellence by Royal Literary Magazine.
Jonathan is also the Associate Dean and Primary Lecturer at Theoria School of Filmmaking in Nashville, TN.
Over the course of three decades, his journey as an artist and public speaker has taken him to many places around the world, including Ireland, Italy, Romania, Russia, France and Greece, though he currently resides in Tennessee with his wife Elisa and their three children.
