In a Church already torn apart by scandal and schism, a small girl in the Catholic Diocese of Auckland, believes she has a vision of the Virgin Mary. Father Frank McGann a failed Missionary priest- recently returned physically, mentally and spiritually burned by his time in the shanty towns of Peru- is tasked with protecting her from the factions that gather to destroy them both.
